Phantom wanted to work in haunted Ghost train

Carters Steam Fair are searching for new blood to work in our latest attraction, the Ghost Train.

The vacancy has come about because our fairground workers are refusing to enter the Ghost Train as they believe it is genuinely haunted. One worker said he was sure he saw something moving inside the train, and when he went in there it was freezing cold but there was no sign of anyone. Another claimed a cold hand had touched him on his shoulder. All the negativity almost persuaded Joby Carter to give up the ghost and banish the Ghost Train from the fairground. But with one final throw of the dice Carters has decided to give some fearless skeptic a chance and advertise the position at JobCentre Plus.

Have you got what it takes?
The applicant must play a part of ghost, spirit or apparition - the soul or personality of a person who has died and has somehow become stuck between this plane of existence and the next. Most researchers believe that these spirits do not know they are dead. Very often they have died under traumatic, unusual or highly emotional circumstances. Ghosts can be perceived by the living in a number of ways: through sight (apparitions), sound (voices), smell (fragrances and odors), touch - and sometimes they can just be sensed.

Generally the work is at weekends and can be long days, 2pm until 10pm although this can vary.
Applicant must be CRB checked, they must not be of a nervous disposition, or be afraid of the dark or the paranormal.

Carters are offering an incentive to try and persuade someone to take the job by paying 10p per scream as part of their salary. This would mean that if you get passengers to scream more than once per minute you will earn more than the minimum wage.

We're now getting ready to move the Fair on to Promenade Park, Maldon where we'll be set up during the famous Maldon Mud Race, for those who prefer a cleaner form of entertainment.
