After a wonderful time in Hemel Hempstead, Carters Steam Fair are excited to be attending WOMAD festival, and then 6 weeks in Weston-Super-Mare!

This year is the 30th anniversary of Carters Steam Fair at Pinkneys Green in Maidenhead. We are proud to announce that James Messham's Wall of Death will be on tour with us for most of our 2010 season, and the showman's engines Lion, Starlight, King George VI, Dolphin, and Verity will be powering a lot of the fair by steam.

Winter Work

The yard has been busier than ever this winter, as several rides spent Christmas at the O2 Winter Wonderland. The frenzy of activity includes the Gavioli Galloper organ completely restored, painted and tuned ready for another season. The Dean organ from the Steam Yachts is now awaiting similar treatment.

There are new carved panels for the centre of the Gallopers, and there is more gilding to be done before another seasons work.

Anna Carter's 1948 Vosper living wagon is currently having it's paintwork touched up and revarnished.

John Todd's Foden, which hauls the Victory Divebomber is being decorated, and Seth Carter's new Foden for the Skid cars is also being decorated in Carters livery.

The Jungle Thriller Ark had it's 75th birthday in December. We'd like to offer anyone over 75 who brings both their parents the chance to ride for free!
