Christmas Dodgem Experience

16 December, 2020

Update Monday 21st December.

A message for all of our lovely Carters fans and friends.

We have been working hard behind the scenes organising our 2020 Christmas Dodgem Experience, this time of year is usually exciting for everyone but COVID has made it different this year. For the firts time we had hoped to launch our new COVID-19 secure Christmas Dodgem & more experience.

However, in light of the press conference from Boris Johnson on Saturday 19 December, we are now in tier 4 and in line with government restrictions we will not be able to go ahead as planned.

‘Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, we hope you are staying safe and keeping well in these difficult times’

Due to popular demand our Dodgem Experience is back for Christmas! Enjoy the track to yourselves for 30 minutes now with the Children’s Train Ride included. Join in the festive fun at our HQ near Maidenhead, Berkshire.

Unlike at the fair, your group will have exclusive access these original 1960s Supercar Italias for half an hour. Our picture-perfect dodgems have been through a lengthy restoration process that has taken 25 years of on-and-off work. Find out more about the restoration process here.

What is there to do?

Enjoy private access to our freshly restored 1960s dodgems and our 1930s children’s train ride for half-an-hour from a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 12 drivers. Take a look at the height restrictions here. Add to the experience with a choice of side-stall games like Hook-a-Duck or the Mighty Strikers, and Carters Sweet Emporium Pick’n’Mix. A safe way to enjoy a family day out and get into the festive spirit.

Where and when?

The Dodgem Experience is open for pre-bookings from December 12th until January 3rd, 12noon-7.30pm. Our HQ is located in White Waltham, Nr Maidenhead, SL6 3JF. You must book your session online in advance.

What COVID-19 safety precautions are in place?

Following the Government guidance on Coronavirus, we request that guests do not mix in groups outside of their household. Up to 12 people can book an experience and they should be from a maximum of two households.

If you do book two bubbles together, we request all attendees wear a mask for the duration of your visit. Please enter your session in your household bubbles and keep apart for the duration of your experience. If you visit as a single household you are not expected to wear masks unless you would like to.

Remember to please postpone your visit if you or anyone from your household displays any symptoms of COVID-19 – we’ll be ready to welcome you when you’re feeling better.

Our staff will be wearing protective equipment and will maintain their distance. At the end of your 30-minute visit, the dodgems are cleaned and sanitised ready for the next set of visitors. We have a one-way entry and exit system from the site and we are asking all visitors to leave their contact details with us.

For that extra piece of mind we are part of the Visit England ‘We’re Good to Go’ Industry Standard that means our experience meets the Government and public health guidance on COVID-19 and that we have all the required health and safety measures in place to safely open.

Our dodgems are also Hollywood famous! Here they are in a scene from the award-winning movie Rocketman about the life of Elton John.
