One Day Signwriting Course
This course is ideal for someone that would like to see if they have what it takes to consider a career as a traditional signwriter and would like to try their skills before committing to further study and professional development.
It’s also ideal for those working in the creative industries who have an interest in letterform and typography who miss being ‘hands-on’ with design and want to reconnect and refresh their traditional creative skills.
Hosted by professional signwriter and industry expert Joby Carter, you’ll have an introduction to the essential techniques including:
- handling a paint brush
- brushwork techniques
- using a mahl
- visualising and layout without a computer
Whilst you can’t fully learn how to signwrite in a day, through a mixture of demonstrations and one to one feedback he will ensure that you leave with your own piece of artwork that you have drawn and painted and the confidence to progress in this field if you are interested in learning more.
